Christian Formation @ St. Paul's on-the-Hill
Corporate worship is the bedrock of Christian Formation. From the foundational event of Holy Baptism and in the midst of a life nurtured over the times and seasons of life at the Holy Eucharist, we engage our relationship to God. The people of St. Paul's approach the spiritual life from a wide range of perspectives and life experience. It is in reflection upon our lived experience that we see the traces of God's presence and activity.
For Episcopalians, three lenses form a nexus for this reflection:Scripture, Tradition, & Reason. This "three legged stool" as it has been called forms a dynamic tension as each of the three challenges and critiques the other. We are a church where "faith seeks understanding" and quesitons are most welcome.
Retreats, Quiet Days, Study Course, Art, and Music all have a place in the process of living a life of spiritual depth. You will find a sampling of offerings below. Feel free to contact the office for a current list of offerings.

About Education For Ministry
EFM is a comprehensive four-year program designed for laity seeking theological education. It is an extension course based on the core curriculum of the School of Theology of the University of the South, Sewanee, Tennessee. The program helps lay persons to gain an understanding of the Christian tradition, to learn to find God’s presence in everyday life, and to decide how to live in response to that presence. See the EFM Website for more information about the program http://www.sewanee.edu/EFM/index.htm
EFM @ St. Paul's on-the-Hill
EFM begins every fall at St. Paul's. If you would like to be a part of a group, then call the parish office or use our "Contact Us" page to send us a note.
